vegankitty: A few weeks ago, one of my co-workers at the co-op told me that a vegan diet makes you more prone to yeast infections. She is very anti-vegan and pro-happy meat and loves to point out reasons to not be vegan, so I didn’t take her seriously. Now I have my first yeast infection in 18 years. Has anyone else heard this about vegans being susceptible to yeast infections? Or is it just a coincidence?
veganshawn: Sounds like your “friend” at the co-op is a idiot.
vegankitty: She’s not my friend. I really don’t like working with her. Every time I buy something made with soy, she has some comment to make. And when she said that about vegans being prone to yeast infection, I thought it was BS, but then I got one after 18 years without one. Maybe she cursed me?
